Account Receivables / Payables Specialist

Position Description:

Residential Support Services, Inc. (RSSI) is currently seeking a part-time ACCOUNT RECEIVABLES / PAYABLES SPECIALIST to work in our Newton, MA office. The Accounts Payable / Receivables Specialist is responsible for full cycle accounts payable and invoice generation for all customers. This role also provide reporting, budget, and audit support.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Completes full cycle accounts Payable including gathering approvals for corporate invoices, data entry of corporate invoices, bi-monthly check runs, and filing.
  • ­Reconciles and allocates monthly all corporate paid expenses to subsidiaries.
  • Gathers and copies all utility payments for completion of budget utility schedules.
  • Gathers and copies all Replacement Reserve related invoices for submission to HUD for reimbursement.
  • Completes data entry, invoicing, and quality analysis of all bi-monthly billing for all customers (including but not limited to GAFC, ABI, CCA, Navicare, and ESP)
  • Applies third party receipts to Accounting Software (Sage 50 Accounting)
  • Monitors Aged Receivables and subsequent collections as necessary.
  • Reconciles monthly cash and trial balance accounts to include research and clearance of reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Audits quarterly analysis of trial balances as assigned.
  • Completes data entry of YTD activity for proposed budgets and data entry of approved budgets.
  • Prepares data entry of General Journal entries to Accounting Software as necessary.
  • Processes Annual 1099 Forms for independent contractor compensation
  • Completes annual fiscal year-end accrual of Accounts Payable


Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred


Relevant Work Experience:

3 Years AP and AR experience

Occupancy Specialist - PART TIME in Spencer, MA

Senior Living at Prouty in Spencer, MA is seeking a part time Occupancy Specialist for our beautiful HUD subsidized elderly development.


Primary duties include:

  • Assist site staff in the front-line implementation of and compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations
  • Manage waiting list of prospective tenants
  • Handle rental inquiries
  • Lease apartments
    • Complete initial and annual certifications and enforce lease terms and House Rules
  • The ideal candidate will foster a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, communities and associated agencies. They will work
    patiently, professionally and cooperatively with residents and staff to provide high quality customer service and preserve and respects resident
    and applicant confidentiality. Individual must have excellent organizational skills, accounting skills, strong verbal and written communication
    skills, as well as strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Must have the ability to access and use federal and
    state agency internet sites in order to review and accurately interpret regulatory notices, agency handbook changes and memoranda. A proficiency
    in setting up and maintaining regulatory files would be desirable. Prior experience with Boston Post, HUD Housing or tax credits is a plus.

Position Description:

Residential Support Services, Inc. (RSSI) is currently seeking two (2) committed HOME HEALTH AIDES to work per-diem in Spencer, MA. The Home Health Aid will provide services to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability and/or other inflictions. Home Health Aides are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant RSSI Home Care Services policies and industry standards.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care that includes but not limited to: Bathing, Shaving, Mouth care, Hair, Nail and Skin care, Dressing, Exercising, Positioning, Feeding, Toileting, Medication reminders, Vital Signs (blood pressure) Ambulation and transfers.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients health status
  • Provides companionship services and follow-up on care plan
  • Complete and maintain records of daily activities and monitor client supplies
  • Assist with meal preparations which may include a specialized diet plan as identified on the clients care plan
  • Performs light housecleaning tasks but not limited to: Laundry, Bed and Bathroom care
  • Assist with essential shopping/errands and escorts clients to appointments with prior approval


Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalency


Relevant Work Experience:

1 – 2 years’ experience as a Home Health Aide required.


Certifications/Licenses:

Must be a current Certified Home Health Aid with valid driver’s license

Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description:

Residential Support Services, Inc. (RSSI) is currently seeking an experienced and committed REGISTERED NURSE (RN) to work with individuals that are Intellectually Disabled / Developmentally Disabled (ID.DD) in Greater Boston. The Registered Nurse is responsible for services provided to individuals who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability and/or other inflictions in their own homes and communities. The Registered Nurse will also provide in-home care to individuals with acquired brain injury along with Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) clients requiring the same assistance.

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensures RSSI Home Care policies and procedures and industry standards and regulations are followed.
  • Assists with the coordination, evaluation and planning of ID.DD home care services.
  • Implements strategic plans, goals and objectives.
  • Supervises work activities and consistency of performance of GAFC caregivers.
  • Develops and instructs GAFC caregivers in the use of practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Conducts and documents in-home assessments in accordance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Communicates with clients, advocates with families and designated care takers.
  • Ensures completion of required documentation for participation of the program.
  • Reassess client for appropriateness of program every 6 months.
  • Attends periodic meetings as needed.


Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred


Relevant Work Experience:

1 – 2 years’ experience in home care or home based services preferred,
Experience with individuals with Intellectually Disability/Developmental Disability (ID.DD), Massachusetts Recovery Commission (MRC) and Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) population required.


Certifications/Licenses:

RN License in MA and Valid Driver’s License
