Two pictures of Jeanne McHallam, side by side. The left picture is more recent and in color. The right is older and black and white. Jeanne McHallam is an older white woman with short white hair and kind eyes.

Our Mainstay family is sad to share the news of the passing of our longtime Board Member Jeanne McHallam.

Jeanne had a deep passion for housing justice, and spent her life working with people in need and ensuring that they had affordable, attractive, community-based, supportive housing. She spent decades with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development prior to joining our board.

Although she had to take a step back a few years ago, Jeanne continued to be part of Mainstay as a Board Member Emeritus. Her contributions to bettering the lives of Mainstay’s residents and people we serve cannot be overstated.

In lieu of flowers, Jeanne’s family has asked that donations be made to Mainstay’s Supporting Success Scholarship Fund.
