Mainstay Welcomes Dr. Amy S. Gottlieb to its Board of Directors

Newton, MASS – October 7, 2024 – Mainstay Supportive Housing and Homecare, a Newton-based nonprofit organization which provides affordable and supportive housing across Massachusetts for elders and adults with disabilities, today announced that Amy S. Gottlieb, MD will be joining the Board of Directors.

“I am honored to be part of Mainstay’s Board of Directors and eager to support the critical services this organization provides to our community,” said Gottlieb.

Dr. Gottlieb is an academic general internist and former executive leader in healthcare and higher education. She has dedicated much of her career to creating strategies and programs that support the success of women in medicine and science through mentorship, sponsorship, and equitable access to professional opportunity. She is passionate about health equity and is deeply committed to promoting and advancing Mainstay’s mission.

Dr. Gottlieb received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard University and worked in corporate finance before pursuing her degree in medicine. She obtained an MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed a residency in General Internal Medicine from Brown University.

“We are thrilled to welcome Amy to Mainstay’s Board of Directors,” said Mainstay President and CEO Larry Oaks. “She has an inherent drive to ensure equity for all and has invaluable experience in this area. That drive, coupled with her vast experience, will make her an invaluable addition to our board.”

Dr. Gottlieb is the principal and founder of Grays West Advisors and currently serves on the Board of Advisors and the DEIB Steering Committee for the Boston Ballet.
