Mainstay Supportive Housing & Home Care Appoints Emily L. Mason, PhD as New Director of Development

Mainstay Supportive Housing & Home Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Emily L. Mason, PhD as its new Director of Development. In this role, Emily will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding philanthropic relationships and shaping strategy and culture to drive sustainable growth.

Emily brings a wealth of experience to Mainstay, having worked with various nonprofits in development, program coordination, and marketing capacities. Prior to joining Mainstay, she served as Development Manager at the Metrowest Women’s Fund, where she helped to promote a robust donor pipeline through prospecting efforts, grants management, and other fundraising strategies. She holds a PhD in Sociology and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Connecticut.

“Mainstay is such a phenomenal organization,” said Emily. “I just adore its emphasis on providing the support necessary for people to live with autonomy and a sense of personal fulfillment.” She added, “development work is my passion. I’m ecstatic I can use my skillset to bolster the success of this nonprofit I so deeply admire.”

This strategic appointment underscores Mainstay’s commitment to expand its impact and strengthen its community of residents, clients, neighbors, family, friends, and other organizations. Emily’s expertise will be instrumental in guiding Mainstay’s continued growth.
