Program Administrator
Doreen is a graduate of Wheaton College and earned her B.A. in Psychology. She is enrolled at the Brandeis University Heller Graduate School.
For the past 25 years, Doreen has dedicated her professional career to enhancing the lives of children, teens, adults and Senior Citizens with disabilities and their families, by creating day, housing and family support programming and resources to meet the needs of this population. She was a member of the leadership teams at both the Charles River Center (from 1994-2004), and at JF&CS (from 2005-2017).
A particularly important project in Doreen’s career was being on the creative team which opened the supportive housing programs, serving 70 adults in unique shared group living settings. This program allows adults to live in more integrated homes in the community, and to move our of their family home.
Doreen was appointed by Governor Baker to be a member of the Governor’s Commission on Intellectual Disabilities in the Commonwealth. The Commission is an independent citizen oversight body appointed by the Governor to public policy in the area of intellectual disability in the state.
Doreen has two amazing children, Nina and Nate. She has a particular interest in raising awareness about Cystic Fibrosis and fighting for the cure, as Nina has this genetic disorder.
Doreen enjoys playing softball, singing, being a fan of all Boston sport’s teams, mystery shopping and coaching girl’s softball.
As an administrator of affordable housing for more than thirty years, Susan Horner brings experience and a wealth of knowledge to Mainstay Supportive Housing and Home Care.
Throughout her career, Susan has served on and provided leadership to committees and organizations that focus on the needs of the underserved. Susan holds several professional designations, including SHCM, COS and PHM, and is a trained Mediator.
Susan and her staff of property managers, maintenance crew members and Resident Service Coordinators dedicate themselves to providing a safe haven for all they serve.
Larry is President and CEO of Mainstay Supportive Housing and Homecare, the Newton based non-profit organization. He has 25 years of experience in the fields of community development, affordable housing finance and non-profit administration. Earlier in his career Larry served in senior leadership positions at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the Corporation for Supportive Housing, two of the largest community development financial institutions in the United States. At both agencies he led major national initiatives aimed at solving the affordable housing crisis in low and moderate income communities across the country.
Ron Quimby joined Mainstay Supportive Housing & Home Care in November of 2015. He was hired as an Occupancy Specialist and immediately began learning everything he knows about housing from his supervisor and mentor, Susan Horner. He, and the rest of the Property Management team, work diligently to provide exemplary housing services to the many residents that Mainstay Supportive Housing & Home Care serves.
When Ron isn’t the Director of Housing Services, he is Dad to his daughter, Miranda and son, Joshua. He is husband to his beautiful and amazing wife, Krissy. And, he is Pop-Pop to the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Adalyn.
During the summer months, Ron enjoys spending his time off with his family and friends at his home away from home, a seasonal campground in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
